3 - 5x = 2 / - 3;
-5x = - 1 / ÷( - 5);

solve for x
3-5x=2
add 5x to both sides
3=2+5x
subtract 2 from both sides
3-2=5x
1=5x
divide both sides by 5
1/5=x

x=1/5
