Scientists use data to collect information to help support their hypothesis ( educated guess ) and to make detailed reportings

Data is observations made during an experiment and can be collected by practicals, interviews, newspapers etc

Observations are crucial in supporting your point ( hypothesis )

Data can be collected by two primary branches which is primary and secondary sources

Data can either be:

Qualitative ( descriptive )
e.g the birds feathers were yellow

Quantitative ( includes measurements )
e.g My Keira is 234m high
