traditionally turkish people are muslim however in the urban centers other religions are prevalent therefore views on womens rights could differ based on religion

In countries with huge religious population , role of women usually is restricted to what mentioned in the religious teachings

But In urban population, more women are acknowledged in the working field due to their high skills and competency, while in rural population the majority of women held the role as housewives.

Because of this, generally the social standing of women in urban population would most likely to be higher compared to women in rural population,
