DNA plays a major role in heredity, composing the genes that are passed down from parent to offspring. It also plays a major role in the everyday workings of your cells. It does this by creating molecules, such as enzymes, that regulate cell functions.

These enzymes belong to a larger class of molecules known as
A) RNA.
B) proteins.
C) ion pumps.
D) amino acids.

Answer:

The correct answer will be option-B.

Step-by-step explanation:

The DNA is the genetic material of the cell which provides instructions to the cells. They provide instructions to the cell by forming the protein molecules through transcription and translation.

These proteins regulate the basic functions of the cell wither by acting as the structural component or the enzymes. These enzymes act as a catalyst and increase the rate of reaction by lowering down the activation energy of the reaction.

Since enzymes are the protein molecules thus, Option-B is the correct answer.
