silver is relatively non reactive and water is not electronegative enough to force ag to react

Step-by-step explanation:

It is known that a more reactive metal or substance is able to replace a less reactive metal or substance.

According to the reactivity series chart, hydrogen is much reactive than silver atom. Hence, when water is added to silver then due to less reactivity of silver atom it is unable to displace hydrogen from
H_(2)O.

Therefore,
H_(2)O + Ag \rightarrow \text{No reaction}
