14.4=1 inch 14.4 divided by 2 is 7.2
7.2 plus 14.4 is 21.6
They are 21.6 miles apart.

1 inch = 14.4 miles.....so 1.5 inches = (1.5 * 14.4) = 21.6 miles apart
