Earthquakes are caused by the interaction of the plates
Volcanoes are caused by the interaction of magma
Both are found along the edges of tectonic plates

Most earthquakes and volcanoes are found along the edges of tectonic plates. Earthquakes cause when the plates rub against each other or collide and volcanoes occur when magma from the earths crust escapes through cracks and erupts.
