What do cells do before cell division begins?

Before the cells can divide they both have to have the same exact DNA and they go through a process called Mitosis.

in cell division, the cell that is dividing is called the parent cell. the parent cell divides into two daughter cells. the process than repeats in what is called the cell cycle. cells regulkate their division by communicating with each other hope it helps,if you need help just ask and i will be more than happy to help. :)
