During the Revolutionary Era, women made up the majority of church members. It can be explained because during this era women had limited rights, being owner of businesses and properties mainly men. Nevertheless, many women were willing to be part of the revolution, so that, they organized themselves mainly in religious organisations that were focuse on helping men forces, on feeding, on nursing and on other activities taht were considered by that time as women activies (all these as member of church).
