What does the initial value mean for this function?

A) LaTasha earns $18 for 1 hour of work.

B) LaTasha charges $10 before she begins mowing.

C) LaTasha does not charge her customers unless she has mowed for at least a half hour.

Answer:

B) LaTasha charges $10 before she begins mowing.

Explanation:

Latasha charges $10 before she begins mowing. From the linear function if you compare the relationship between time(hours) and cost($), you will notice that LaTasha charges $4 for 1/2 hour of mowing.

The first value shows LaTasha charges $10 before mowing. The hour value was 0 but yet her cost was $10 . The second value for time was 1/2 hour and the initial cost of $10 was added to the actual half hour she worked which is $4. After adding her initial cost of $10 , adding $4 dollar for every 1/2 hour gives your her cost in dollar. Example $10 + $4 = $ 14 , The next one she worked 1 hour which is $8 + 10 = $18 and so on

The time value increases by half hour and the cost increases by $4 . You can conclude that LaTasha charges $4 for every 1/2 hour she mow.
