probability = # of positive events / # of total events.
# of total events = 5x5 = 25
positive events = sum either 3 or 8:
1) 1 + 2 = 3
2) 2 + 1 = 3
3) 3 + 5 = 8
4) 4 + 4 = 8
5) 5 + 3 = 8
# of positive events = 5
probability = 5 /25 = 1/5
Answer: option D. 1/5
