First solve the future worth of the apartment

F = p( 1 +i)^n

F = 340000( 1 + 0.018)^5

F = 371721.61

Gain from rent

R = (525 / month room) ( 12 room) (12 month/ year) ( 5 yrs)

R = 378000

Cost for building upkeep

C = 36500/year ( 5years)

C = 182500

Profit = 371721.61 + 378000 – 340000 – 182500

Profit = $ 227221.61

so the answer is B
