3-3x6+2=what is correct answer

This is how I did it:
3 - 1(3x6)+2=
-1x3= -3
-1x6= -6
-3x-6= +18
3+18+2= 23
Is it correct 2 add parentheses around 3x6 and then add an "invisible" 1 in front of the parentheses?

no, because only three is negative when you multiply by six... you could just do
3-3x6+2
3-18+2
-15+2
-13
