How did the English revolution influence political thought

After the revolution there is much talk of democracy. Thomas Hobbes believed in natural rights, a political belief in which all people were entitled to specific rights guaranteed by god and the people were here to ensure the governments rights. This democratic thinking led to democracy in England.
