Because of debts and dependence on American loans and investments, Germany and Austria were greatly affected. -Austria's largest bank failed in 1931 and in Asia, urban workers and farmers suffered as the value of exports failed. -It greatly affected Latin America too, as the U.S. and Europe demanded for copper, beef, and sugar from Latin America in which the prices collapsed.
