$11.00 multiplied by 0.20=2.20, then you subtract 11.00-2.20=$8.80, now you add the sales tax $8.80 X 0.05=0.44 <--that's cents, now you add $8.80 + 0.44=$9.24 ---answer A hopes this helps

$11.00 * 20% = 2.2
$11.00 - $2.2 = $8.8 (20% off)
$8.8 * 5% = $0.44 (tax 5%)
Total
$8.8 + $0.44 = $9.24
answer is
A. $9.24
