Which of the following is the best explanation for the areas without vegetation

When an area has no vegetation it is because there is either no fertile soil for plants to grow, water levels are too low to maintain plant life, or not enough sunlight/or too much sunlight killing plants. Any or all of these could be reasons behind no vegetation.
