factoring is like multiplying becuase to find factors of a number there has to be 2 number to multiply which would equal the factor, for example the question is find the factors of 4. it would be :
4×1=4
2×2=4
so the factors of 4 are 1,2, and 4. To find these numbers I multiplied them
