Provided the Egyptians with annual flooding, which at the start caused many deaths, but the Egyptians began to understand when it happened so it led to irrigation. It helped in transportation and trade. It also gave fertile soil.

The Nile provided Egyptians with easy transportation, extremely fertile soil for farming, a regular, predictable pattern of rising and falling and a rich hunting ground for fish, birds and a variety of mammals.
