my opinion, I didn't think his death was noble. He was once valiant who ruined his own reputation and morality because of too strong ambition and trusting the supernatural too much, which also adds to the fact that he took all the apparitions to face-value when he could've thought of it more thoroughly, leading to his untimely death, even at which point he does not surrender. But then again, the idea that he was once a good person at the beginning of the play, and only did he become bad due to influences (wife and witches), there is pity for the character
