14x^2-8+5x-6x^2+2x
=
x^2(14-6)+x(5+2)-8
=
8x^2+7x-8

Tip:
Find an easy way (such as underlining) to identify the like terms, so that it's easier to know which ones you need to combine and which ones you shouldn't combine!
