Multiply 9 2/3 * 6
To make it easier use 9 2/3 as an improper fraction
9 2/3 = 29/3
6 = 18/3
On paper you would see the 29 and 18 are the numerators (top number of the fraction)
29 * 18 = 522
522/3 = 174
So Julia purchased 174 ounces of fruit
