Sir Caradoc was brought before punishment King Arthur because he tore a poor home down, and scattered all, and thrust the people out to wander in the marshes, and when a poor son pleaded with to him, he had him whipped, and he was brought and cast half dead at the feet of the old woman. Hope this answers the question.
