The answer is D. First find the slope: (y2-y1)/(x2-x1); (-1-5)/(-4-7) = (-6/-11)= 6/11 Then plug the slope and ordered pair into the formula: y - y1 = m(x-x1) y - -1 = (6/11)(x - -4) Simplifying you get y + 1 = (6/11)(x + 4)
