People get sick because of a miniscule living object which humans can not see with the naked eye called 'bacteria'. Bacteria can be transmitted through someone's mouth, nose, and even in small cuts. The bacteria has a war with your body, your body is doing all it can to get rid of the foreign object that is trying to wreck havoc. Sighs of your body fighting off the sickness can sometimes be fever.
