The high road is defined as risky and reckless in life, while the low road is defined as safe and secure. The phrase symbolizes that being reckless is more fun than playing it safe.

like always take the high road means make the good choices that might not be popular and what other people are doing and don't take the low road because is when u start making wrong choices and not doing good choices.

for example

Lets say all ur friends are doing bad stuff in school and u know is not okay u don't do it so ur making a good choice (highroad) and ur friends are taking the low road because later on they might get in trouble and face consequences so (its not fun)

hope this is helpfull.
