Why are the cave paintings of early humans significant?

it marked the time human beings stopped being stupid caveman and started to imagine and draw like the people we are today

Because most of them show how the ancient people lived and what they did and who they worshiped. Overall it is basically just what we go on when we are describing ancient times.
