Columbus brought the bubonic plague and other diseases back to Europe. He set up trading posts on islands near the U.S. He spread the influence of trade and gave the natives on the islands trinkets, that were of no value. He exchanged sugar canes with the natives. Later on he made them slaves and took their plantations of sight cane to Europe, in which was a success.
