Bacteria multiply by division; one bacteria divides and becomes two they become four the eight and so on. Assume the bacteria doubling time is 1 minute. Like one bacterium in placed in a jar at 11 am then when it is observed at noon the jar is full. I can not tell what prevents them from overpopulating the world but I hope you can.
