First you distribute the 2y^2 into (y + 7). 2y^2 x y= 2y^3 and 2y^2 x 7= 14y^2. The extra (y + 7) can't be added or multiplied by anything because you can't add y with different exponents. Answer is 2y^3 + 14y^2 + y + 7.
