Two states of matter present in the water cycle are described below.

State 1: Takes the shape of the part of the container which it occupies.

State 2: Spreads across the entire volume of a container and takes its shape.

Which of these statements is correct about the two states of matter?

State 1 is liquid and State 2 is solid.

State 1 is solid and State 2 is gas.

State 1 is liquid and State 2 is gas.

State 1 is solid and State 2 is plasma.

Once again I know this is not science but no one is in the science sections.. so please help. ...?

The right option is; State 1 is liquid and State 2 is gas.

Liquid and gas states of matter are forms in which matter can exist and they both make up fluids and are present in the water cycle. The particles of liquid take the shape of the container it occupies and they have a fixed volume, while the particles of gas also expand to fill their containers and take the shape of its container. Liquid particles are not easily compressed, but gases are easily compressed by mechanical forces.
