Include lots of:
Imagery
Detail
Good plot and problem
Organization
Creativity
Word choice (no baby words like destroy or rip, use words like annihilate or shred)
Capturing and interesting intro (like My life was completely normal... Until the storm arose. This makes the reader wonder and want to keep reading)

If you include all of this, you will be fine :)

Make it interesting something you know a lot of people will read and add a lot of detail.
