public identity is what the government and the state identifies people as. It allows them to gain more authority on use in this controlling society, by categorizing use into, race, class, and gender it allows them to silence the lower classes while helping make the rich, richer. I feel this topic has a lot to do with politics and is very complicated and interesting how humanity labels themselves into groups.
