The artificial kidney is called a dialysis machine. It a machine that takes your blood in your vein then through a series of tubes which undergoes filtration, by the use of reverse osmosis. The reverse osmosis takes the by product of your blood like nitrogen in your blood, away from your body by having a disimilar solution that sucks the waste by product of your body through a thin membrane.Blood that is now cleaned is then returned to the body, This process can take hours, because you natural kidneys does that all through out the day.
