How would you change “to drive to the grocery store” to make it parallel with “reading my mom’s list of instructions”? by removing “grocery store” by changing “to drive” to “driving” by adding “reading” to the beginning by replacing “grocery store” with “list of instructions”

The correct answer is B. by changing "to drive" to "driving." In order for a construction to be parallel to another one, they have to have the same form. So, if one part of a construction is using the gerund form (reading my mom's list of instructions), then the other part has to end in -ing as well in order for them to be parallel. So, if you change the infinitive "to drive" to the gerund form "driving," you will create parallel constructions.
