This is not necessarily true. Student writers can also be more objective. The fact that I enjoy writing does not mean that the student will be thorough, it is just a matter of personal taste that may or may not be perceived in a student's written research.
Proper research usually provides accurate information. If too much detail is needed, it must be done. Otherwise, no. The important thing is to get the message across to the research reader.
