Chromosomes tells the body what to do. When a body cell is reproduced, it tells the cell exactly what to reproduce. Every single one of your cells are identical. The chromosomes are basically the cells blue prints and future instructions for the reproducing of cells.

Chromosomes are found in the nucleus of body cells. These chromosomes are made of protein and deoxyribose, which is a five-carbon sugar. Some of these chromosomes can be found in the mitochondria of a cell also. Hope this helps!
