The disease of osteocytes, osteoclasts, osteoblasts, and collagen fibers would affect bone density by causing a weakening of the bones. With bone density weakened, it leaves bones susceptible to breakage.

Assuming that the disease decreases the affected component:
Osteocytes: These help in bone production so if they decrease, bone density will decrease.
Osteoclasts: These break bone down so if they decrease, bone density increases
Osteoblasts: Help in bone production, their decrease will reduce bone density.
Collagen fibers: Help in bone production, their decrease will reduce bone density.
