-(3)/(4)+p=(1)/(3)\ \ \ \ | mutliply\ by\ 12\\\\ -9+12p=4\ \ \ \ | add\ 9\\\\ 12p=13\ \ \ | divide\ by\ 12\\\\ p=(13)/(12)

Try adding 3/4 to each side of the equation, and then
read the (algebraic) statement you see on the paper.
