Almonds sell for $4.50 per pound, and granola sells for $6.75 per pound. Terri bought some almonds and some granola. The total weight was 2.5 pounds and the cost was $15.75.

The equations are 4.50x+6.75y=15.75
x + y = 2.5

She brought 2 pounds of granola and .5 pound of Almond.
She brought $13.50 on Granola and $2.25 on Almonds.
