x squared+y=18
x+y=6. use elimination method.(+y and +y cancels
x squared -x=x
18-6=12
x=12
for y take one of the above equations
x+y=6(replace x with 12
12+y=6(collect the like terms
y=6-12
y=-6

so x=12 and y=-6

Can someone tell me how to solve this
