I'm writing an essay and I need help.


Introduction: making sacrifices for others make an everyday person a hero. In the novel to kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee there are many examples of an every day hero. A hero is a person also known for hope and justice for the world.


My teacher said "It's not that the characters are already heroic, but that they make sacrifices for others...and THAT is why they are considered heroic in the END."


How should I change the introduction?

First Start off with the topic sentence
For Example: Atticus is heroic because he makes sacrifices for others.
Then give a general example
Example: Atticus helped a "negro" even though he knew it would ruin his reputation and status
Then do what you did put in the definition of heroic
then wrap it up
