You first subtract the 3 on both sides
z/5=32
Then you times the 5 on both sides

z/5 + 3 = 35
Do the inverse operation to +3 so -3 from +3 and +35
z/5 + 3 = 35
- 3 - 3
Simplify:
z/5 = 32
Now it is something divided by 5 is = to 32
You do inverse of division which is multiplication on both sides
5*z/5 = 5*32
Simplify:
z = 160
Now check by plugging 160 as z in equation
