You have seen it, a number with so many zeros that you are not sure where to start when reading it. It may be ginormous or teeny, teeny, tiny...either way, it seems like it could be expressed in a manner easier to understand. In this discussion, your job is to find such a number–a number so big or so tiny that it is sure to confound your friends.round and rewrite your number so that it is in a Power of 10.

Example: My dad and I love to look at the night sky. I like to see how the moon changes as it moves. Sometimes it is close and other times, it looks so far away. The Moon's distance from the Earth changes, but on average it is about 405,000 km away. The nearest Power of 10 to this number would be 105.

Example 2: The deepest part of the ocean is approxamately 36,200 feet. so, thats 10 to the 4th power.
