"Dominated by Niger-Congo language family. Khoisan is oldest (Clicks). Nigeria has 500 different languages, due to locality of culture. Nigeria adopted english as official language when they declared their independence because the major languages were to politically charged. Students had to learn it-unuseful and took too much time."
