Proteins are synthesized in the ribosome.

This occurs in a process known as translation, where mRNA is taken to the ribosome (after being synthesized in transcription) and basically "read" through its codon sequence so that tRNA, or transfer RNA, can attain the corresponding amino acid and slowly build the chain that will form the protein in the ribosome.
Hope this helps!
