yes they also are huge and heavy so they have a strong gravitaional pull, so strong that it will suck up anything near it, even light, that is why they are "black" holes

A black hole has a tremendous amount of Gravity
the reason why they're known as Black Holes is that they have no light, they also have no Radiation what so ever
