What kind of wood is the 200-pound yoke that holds the 2080 pound bell that is on display at 520 chestnut street in philadelphia?

The 200 pound yoke is supposedly built out of American Elm and is the original one that suspended the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia when it was made. It is found in Independence Mall and the entrance is free of charge if you want to see this wonderful huge bell.
