How do you solve the linear equation using multiplication with the elimination method?

3x + 2y = 11
7x- y= 3

3x+2y=11--------x1
7x-y=3------------x2

3x+2y=11---equ 1
14x-2y=6---equ 2

equ 1+ equ 2 will eliminate y
17x=17
x=1
then put x=1 in equ 1
3(1)+2y=11
2y=11-3
2y=8
y=8/2
y=4
