Can you be more specific? Is it y= (2/3x) -1 or y=2/(3x-1) ?

Assuming we are solving for the variable x...
You want to flip the equation so >
(2)/(3)x - 1 = y
Then you want to add 1 to both sides.

(2)/(3)x - 1 + 1 = y + 1 \ \textgreater \ (2)/(3)x = y + 1
Then we want to divide both sides by
(2)/(3)

(2)/(3)x/ (2)/(3) = (y + 1)/( (2)/(3) ) \ \textgreater \ x = (3y + 3)/(2)
So our final answer is
(3y + 3)/(2)
